Mnet Asian Music Awards 2018
TikTok has partnered with MAMA, Asia’s biggest and highly anticipated music awards to be held across three different locations in Asia – Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong from December 10 to 14.
As the official sponsor for the global voting channel, K-Pop fans in Malaysia can vote for their favorite acts across 18 award categories, including Artist of the Year, Best Asia Star, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and more, with voting channels closing on 9 December 2018.
Lucky Malaysian voters will also stand a chance to win tickets to the MAMA show in Hong Kong on 14 December 2018.
As part of celebrating creativity on a global stage, TikTok will be supporting MAMA 2018 by featuring the best of K-Pop and Asian artists, and empower users to engage in the upcoming event by voting for their favorite artists on TikTok.

BLACKPINK Jennie’s #JennieSolo Global Challenge
As the K-Pop craze reaches its peak in Malaysia, TikTok has launched the #JennieSolo global challenge in collaboration with Jennie, one of the members of BLACKPINK, the world’s most popular K-Pop girl group.
To promote her latest single titled ‘Solo’, Jennie kicks off the challenge to inspire her fans all over the world to join in on the hottest K-Pop craze.
With its easy-to-use tools, interactive features and intelligent discovery system, TikTok’s platform for short videos is fast becoming a launchpad for music artists to promote their latest hits, as it allows them to connect with a global audience. Since the launch of the challenge this week, more than 240,000 videos have been uploaded by fans all over the world, garnering nearly 80 million views and counting.
Malaysian fans can get in on the global challenge and stand to win exclusive signed merchandise from Jennie herself! Lucky winners will be announced on December 5, 2018 via the TikTok@globalchallenge and Instagram@tiktokglobalchallenge channels.
